Novotel Launches Global Longevity Week Focused on Everyday Wellness

Novotel is launching its first Longevity Week from September 7 to 13, combining activities across more than 630 hotels with online sessions designed around sleep, nutrition, movement and social connection

Novotel is introducing a new annual wellness initiative aimed at encouraging travellers and consumers to incorporate simple health-conscious habits into their everyday lives.

The inaugural Novotel Longevity Week will take place from September 7 to 13, 2026, corresponding to the 37th week of the year. The hotel brand has linked the concept to the idea that small, consistent improvements can accumulate into significant long-term changes.

Activities will focus on four areas under the themes Eat, Sleep, Move and Meet. Guests and people participating from home will have access to expert talks, cooking demonstrations, movement exercises and sessions focusing on sleep and recovery.

Global study shows growing interest in long-term wellbeing

The initiative follows a Novotel-commissioned study involving 13,000 respondents across 12 countries. According to the results, 71 percent said they were more interested in their future wellbeing than five years ago.

Respondents identified a balanced diet, good-quality sleep and regular exercise as the most important factors associated with longevity. At the same time, 76 percent said they would like to live a healthier lifestyle, while 45 percent wanted to improve their sleep and 47 percent their exercise habits.

The survey also indicates uncertainty about wellness information found online. Around 67 percent of respondents said social media makes it more difficult to determine which health advice can be trusted.

Travel can contribute to perceived wellbeing

Novotel's research also examined the relationship between travel and wellbeing. More than half of respondents, 51 percent, reported feeling more relaxed while on holiday, while 24 percent said they sleep better when travelling than at home.

According to the study, the perceived wellbeing benefits associated with a holiday continue for an average of 5.6 days after travellers return home.

The findings support Novotel's wider strategy of incorporating wellness concepts into the hotel experience rather than treating wellbeing exclusively as a separate spa or fitness product.

Athletes and experts lead online sessions

Longevity Week will feature the Novotel 37 Collective, a group of athletes, specialists and creators representing different aspects of the programme.

Participants include Olympic surfing gold medallist Kauli Vaast, British food creator Alfie Steiner, Australian sleep specialist and author Olivia Arezzolo, former Paris Saint-Germain footballer Javier Pastore and marine conservation biologist and ocean photographer Kaushiik Subramaniam.

The programme begins on September 7 with a discussion involving Steiner and Subramaniam on food and marine ecosystems. Vaast will lead a movement masterclass on September 8, followed by a plant-focused cooking session with Steiner on September 9.

A breathwork and sleep session with Arezzolo is scheduled for September 10, while Pastore will conclude the programme on September 11 with a session focusing on connection, balance and recovery.

The sessions will be streamed through Novotel's Instagram and YouTube channels and made available both to hotel guests and audiences at home.

Activities planned across more than 630 Novotel hotels

Longevity Week will also be incorporated into stays at more than 630 Novotel properties worldwide through hotel experiences, family activities and digital wellbeing content.

The initiative includes the brand's Oh My Greens! programme, which encourages guests to choose plant-forward dishes at participating Novotel restaurants. Members of Accor's ALL loyalty programme can receive points when selecting qualifying dishes.

With Longevity Week planned as an annual event, Novotel is positioning everyday wellbeing as a more prominent element of its international hotel offering, focusing on practical routines that travellers can continue after returning home.
