Your rights under the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law

Health Tourism Travel processes personal data in accordance with the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (Kişisel Verilerin Korunması Kanunu, “KVKK”).

Rights under Article 11 of the KVKK

Subject to the conditions established by applicable law, you have the right to apply to the data controller and:

• learn whether your personal data are being processed;
• request information if your personal data have been processed;
• learn the purpose for which your personal data are processed and whether they are used in accordance with that purpose;
• know the third parties in Türkiye or abroad to whom your personal data have been transferred;
• request correction of incomplete or inaccurate personal data;
• request deletion or destruction of personal data under the conditions provided by law;
• request notification of correction, deletion or destruction to third parties to whom your personal data have been transferred;
• object to a result arising against you through the analysis of your personal data exclusively by automated systems;
• claim compensation for damage arising from unlawful processing of your personal data.

How to exercise your rights

Requests relating to your rights under the KVKK may be submitted to the data controller in accordance with Article 13 of the KVKK and the applicable rules governing applications to data controllers.

To enable us to identify the applicant and respond appropriately, a request should clearly state:

• your name and surname;
• sufficient information to identify you;
• your contact details;
• the right or rights you wish to exercise;
• details necessary to understand and process your request.

Additional information may be requested where reasonably necessary to verify identity and prevent unauthorised disclosure of personal data.

Response period

Requests will be considered as soon as possible and, in accordance with Article 13 of the KVKK, no later than 30 days, depending on the nature of the request.

Requests are generally handled free of charge. Where processing a request gives rise to additional costs, a fee may be charged where and to the extent permitted by applicable regulations.

Complaints

If your application is rejected, you consider the response insufficient, or no response is provided within the applicable period, you may have the right to lodge a complaint with the Turkish Personal Data Protection Board (Kişisel Verileri Koruma Kurulu) in accordance with Article 14 of the KVKK.

Under the KVKK, such a complaint may generally be submitted within 30 days of learning of the data controller's response and, in any event, within 60 days from the date of the original application.
