Ireland claims four wins at World Spa Awards 2026

Four spa destinations in Ireland and Northern Ireland have received 2026 World Spa Awards, with two established properties extending long winning streaks

Four spa destinations on the island of Ireland have been recognised at the World Spa Awards 2026, highlighting the country’s established presence in European spa and wellness tourism.

The awards, now in their 12th year, recognise businesses across the international spa and wellness sector. Participating spas and hotels enter the competition before shortlisted properties are put to an online vote involving industry professionals.

This year’s Irish winners span both day spa and hotel spa categories, with awards going to properties in Dublin, County Mayo and County Antrim.

Eden Elements celebrates fifth consecutive win

Eden Elements at Eden One in Ballsbridge, Dublin, was named Ireland’s Best Day Spa for the fifth consecutive year.

Covering approximately 23,000 square feet, the spa combines a thermal suite and infinity-edge pool with hydrotherapy and dry salt inhalation facilities. Its concept brings together treatment and relaxation with fitness and health assessment.

“To have Eden Elements named ‘Ireland's Best Day Spa’ for the fifth year in a row at the 12th Annual World Spa Awards is an incredible honour,” said David Howard, General Manager at Eden One.

Howard said the award reflected the team’s commitment to a concept combining health, wellbeing, fitness, treatment and relaxation.

Ashford Castle extends winning streak to 11 years

The Spa at Ashford Castle in Cong, County Mayo, retained the title of Ireland’s Best Hotel Spa.

It is the 11th consecutive year that the property has won the category, having received the award every year since 2016. The spa includes five treatment rooms as well as a hammam, steam room and relaxation pool.

Ashford Castle said the latest recognition reflected both the trust of its guests and the work and expertise of its spa team.

Northern Ireland takes two awards

Two County Antrim properties received the Northern Irish awards.

The Culloden Estate and Spa in Belfast was named Northern Ireland’s Best Hotel Spa. Set within 12 acres overlooking Belfast Lough, its wellness facilities include eight treatment suites, with dedicated rooms available for couples therapies.

The Spa at Galgorm received the award for Northern Ireland’s Best Day Spa. Its extensive outdoor and nature-based facilities include the Riverside Garden and Alpine Garden alongside plunge pools and hot tubs.

Together, the four awards showcase different segments of Ireland’s wellness tourism offer, ranging from urban day spas to luxury hotel facilities and nature-focused spa experiences.
