The Barai Hua Hin develops personalised wellness retreats

The Thai beachfront resort combines individual consultations, flexible programmes and post-stay follow-up within its expanded wellness offering

The Barai Hua Hin is developing its personalised wellness proposition around individual consultations, retreats of varying lengths and follow-up after guests return home. Located on Thailand’s Khao Takiap coastline, the 98-room beachfront property builds on an established destination spa. Hyatt announced its opening under The Unbound Collection in June 2026, marking the brand’s debut in Thailand.

The “Wellness, Your Way” concept begins with a 45-minute consultation combining body composition analysis with pulse and tongue assessment drawn from Traditional Chinese Medicine. Findings inform an individual treatment and lifestyle plan. Follow-up contact is scheduled seven, 15 and 45 days after the stay, extending the relationship beyond the resort visit.

For wellness travel planners, the offer combines short breaks with more structured stays. Five retreat options are available in one-, three-, five- and seven-day formats, covering relaxation, yoga, fitness and traditional wellness practices. The programme is presented as a personalised resort experience; its traditional assessment methods should be distinguished from conventional medical diagnosis.

Consultation shapes the stay

The wellness offering is overseen by Chuthamat Srinoi, known as Dr Cash, whom Hyatt identifies as an integrated wellness practitioner working with Traditional Chinese Medicine and other complementary approaches. The available information does not establish that the programme constitutes physician-led medical care.

Rather than assigning every guest the same schedule, the concept uses the initial consultation to guide activities and treatments. Options range from yoga, breathing exercises and meditation to Thai herbal compress massage, Tai Chi and fitness sessions.

The five retreats include a TCM-focused programme, Ultimate Unwind, Bespoke Yoga Journey, Vital Body Cleanse and Dynamic Fitness Kick-Starter. Their content varies considerably, making the choice of programme relevant to guests’ interests and preferred activity levels.

Traditional element theories, energy concepts and treatments such as cupping feature in the offering. These describe the resort’s approach and should not be interpreted as evidence of detoxification, disease treatment or increased lifespan.

Wellness extends into Hua Hin

A two-storey Wellness Hub provides a fitness centre open around the clock, a yoga studio and dedicated wellness spaces. Private movement sessions last 60 or 90 minutes and include options such as functional training, Aqua Fit and Muay Thai.

Experiences outside the treatment rooms connect the programme with Hua Hin’s surroundings. These include sunrise meditation at Khao Hin Lek Fai, birdwatching and breathwork in a mangrove setting, and a full-day Muay Thai experience.

Accommodation, dining and time by the sea form the broader setting for the retreats. For operators assembling wellness itineraries, the combination offers scope to match programme length and intensity to the traveller, with post-stay contact providing a point of continuity after departure.
