Lema Dental Clinic is expanding its international patient program as Istanbul strengthens its role as a destination for dental implants and complex restorative treatments
Lema Dental Clinic has expanded its infrastructure for international patients in response to growing demand for dental implants and aesthetic dentistry in Turkey. The Istanbul-based provider says the program is designed particularly for patients travelling from Europe, the United Kingdom and North America.
The clinic operates a 4,000-square-metre dental facility in Istanbul and holds a Health Tourism Authorization Certificate issued by the Turkish Ministry of Health. Its international program combines dental treatment with multilingual patient coordination and support for the practical requirements of travelling abroad for medical care.
International patients receive coordinated support
The expanded program covers more than the treatment itself. Dedicated international patient departments and multilingual medical coordinators assist patients throughout the process, while the facility also provides recovery areas and logistical support for travel, accommodation and postoperative care.
The approach reflects the particular demands of dental tourism, where patients undergoing complex procedures may have to coordinate several stages of diagnosis, surgery and restorative treatment within a limited period abroad.
Lema Dental Clinic says it has been recognized as “Best Dental Clinic in Europe” for three consecutive years, in 2021, 2022 and 2023, and has also received a “Best Health Clinic of the Year” award.
Digital dentistry supports implant procedures
The clinic uses several internationally established implant and dental technology systems. Its implant treatments include Swiss-manufactured Straumann systems as well as Megagen implants, while digital diagnostics and restorative dentistry are supported by Dentsply Sirona intraoral scanning technology and Ivoclar ceramic materials.
Three-dimensional imaging is used to map the patient's jaw before treatment. For implant procedures, computer-assisted planning can determine the intended position, angle and depth of individual implants.
Digital Smile Design technology is also incorporated into aesthetic treatments, allowing the dental team to plan restorations in relation to the patient's facial proportions before the final crowns or veneers are produced.
Five stages from consultation to aftercare
Lema Dental Clinic structures treatment around what it calls its “5 Steps to Perfection” methodology. For international patients, the process can begin before they travel to Turkey, with dental records submitted remotely for an initial assessment.
Once the patient arrives, clinical consultation and three-dimensional imaging provide the basis for detailed treatment planning. Implant procedures are then planned digitally before surgery and restorative treatment are carried out by a multidisciplinary team including oral surgeons, periodontists and aesthetic dentists.
The final stage extends beyond the patient's stay in Istanbul. The clinic provides postoperative instructions, international follow-up support and long-term maintenance recommendations after patients return home.
